Global Light Vehicle (LV) sales in November remained strong at a selling rate of 95 million units/year, with a slight 2% YoY decrease to 8.1 million units sold globally. The US, Western Europe, and China saw mixed results, with the US facing challenges due to the removal of EV tax credits.
In North America, US Light Vehicle sales fell by 5.8% YoY in November to 1.29 million units, while Canadian sales decreased by 6.2% YoY. In Europe, the Western market remained flat, with Spain leading sales growth. Eastern Europe saw mixed results, with Russia cooling in November. China’s PV market fell 6.4% YoY, but remains strong.
In Japan, LV sales dropped 5.2% YoY, while Korean sales edged up 0.5% YoY. In South America, Brazilian sales declined by 5.4% YoY, while Argentina saw a 3.4% YoY decrease. Overall, global vehicle markets show resilience amidst various economic challenges and market fluctuations.
