HCLSoftware, a unit of HCLTech, is set to acquire Jaspersoft and Wobby to bolster its Actian data and AI division. Jaspersoft, known for embedded analytics, will enhance Actian’s data management capabilities, targeting sectors like government and finance. The deal is expected to be finalized in six months.

Wobby, a Belgian startup focusing on AI-powered data analyst agents, will also join HCLSoftware. This addition will enable customers to query complex datasets using natural language and receive analytical insights efficiently. The completion of this acquisition is anticipated by February 2026.

Actian CEO Marc Potter expressed excitement about the acquisitions, highlighting the integration of Jaspersoft’s analytics solutions and Wobby’s AI agents into Actian’s Data Intelligence Platform. This move aims to provide customers with a unique approach to data management.

Wobby CEO Amra Dorjbayar emphasized the impact of their AI agents on business intelligence, evolving towards proactive analytics by delivering automated insights. The combination of Wobby’s capabilities with Actian’s platform will offer customers a differentiated data management solution.
