HSBC will occupy over 40,000 sq ft in Capitol Centre, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The bank signed a five-year lease starting May 18, 2026, for five levels of the building. The deal was registered in late November, with the total area of the five floors estimated at 42,000 sq ft. HSBC has the option to renew the lease for another five years. The prime retail space previously housed fashion tenants like Chanel, Victoria’s Secret, and Forever 21. Banking and finance firms are expanding in Hong Kong, with Jane Street paying HK$30.6 million/month for office space at Central Yards. Paris-based Ardian and Chicago-based Adams Street Partners have also opened offices in Hong Kong. Credit Agricole CIB extended its lease in Admiralty until 2034.
