Deere & Company (John Deere) to acquire construction technology company Tenna. Tenna offers mixed-fleet management solutions for the construction industry. The transaction is pending regulatory approval, expected to finalize by February 2026. Tenna will operate independently post-acquisition, focusing on expanding its mixed-fleet management model.

Tenna’s platform connects fleet operations across job sites, equipment shops, and offices. It automates workflows, provides real-time asset monitoring, and supports decision-making for equipment maintenance and project coordination. Deere & Company plans to maintain Tenna’s operations under its existing tradename, targeting growth in the construction sector.

Deere & Company, founded in 1837, manufactures construction, agricultural, and forestry machinery. John Deere recently updated its backhoe range with features like a rear camera system and improved cab design. During Investor Day 2025, Deere announced plans for a 10% compound annual growth rate in net sales from 2025 to 2030.

Deere plans to launch its first in-house-designed excavators for the North American market in mid-2026, starting with products ranging from 1t to 50t. Excavators account for about 40% of earthmoving equipment sales. In the fourth quarter of fiscal 2025, Deere’s Construction and Forestry segment saw a 27% sales increase due to higher shipment volumes. Operating profit rose 6% despite increased production costs from tariffs and one-time items.
