1. Silver prices surged over 6% to break $76 an ounce, marking a 164% year-to-date gain, the strongest since 1978. Platinum and palladium also jumped, with platinum up 165% and gold hitting fresh highs above $4,550 an ounce.
  2. In equities, copper producer Freeport-McMoRan Inc. led the S&P 500 with a 3% gain, followed by Target Corp. up 2.1%. Nvidia Corp. rose over 1% after securing a $20 billion deal with AI startup Groq.
  3. WTI crude slipped over 1.5% amid progress in peace talks between Russia and Ukraine. The S&P 500 traded flat near 5,930 points after reaching a record high earlier. Bitcoin remained stable around $87,000 in crypto markets.
  4. Index prices showed Nasdaq 100 at 25,672.66 (+0.10%), S&P 500 at 6,933.20 (+0.02%), Dow Jones at 48,688.73 (-0.09%), and Russell 2000 at 2,529.80 (-0.72%). The Vanguard S&P 500 ETF and other ETFs also traded flat or lower.
