Soybeans prices are slightly lower on Tuesday, down 1 to 2 ½ cents. The national average cash bean price is at $9.80 1/4. Soymeal futures are up $2.50 to $3.20, while soy oil futures are down 30 to 35 points.

USDA reports soybean sales for the week of December 11 at 2.396 MMT, higher than last year by 68.3%. China bought 1.38 MMT that week, with total known sales to China at 6.2 MMT. Soy meal sales exceeded estimates at 616,453 MT, while bean oil sales were 8,660 MT.

Soybean prices on Jan 26: $10.50 3/4, down 2 1/2 cents. Nearby cash prices: $9.80 1/4, down 2 3/4 cents. Mar 26 soybean prices: $10.63 3/4, down 1 1/4 cents. May 26 soybean prices: $10.74 1/2, down 1 cent.
