Soybean prices rose slightly on Thursday, with cash bean prices up 1 3/4 cents at $10.22 1/2. Soybean meal futures increased by 30 to 90 cents, while soy oil futures were 23 to 29 points lower. USDA reported private export sales of 264,000 MT of soybeans to China and 226,000 MT to unknown destinations.

Export sales data for soybeans totaled 695,598 MT for the week ending November 13, falling below estimates but showing improvement from the previous week. Soybean meal sales were 357,861 MT, while bean oil sales saw net reductions of 13,345 MT. September soybean exports were down 8.29% from last year.

Brazil’s soybean production was revised to 177.12 MMT by CONAB, a slight decrease from the previous estimate. Sinograin, China’s state stockpiler, auctioned off 397,000 MT of imported beans. January 26 soybeans closed at $10.93 1/2, up 2 1/4 cents, while nearby cash was $10.22 1/2, up 1 3/4 cents.
