Stord is investing $40 million to upgrade its Hebron, Kentucky shipping center to meet the rising demand for e-commerce fulfillment. The facility, acquired in 2024, ships over 5 million packages yearly and includes climate-controlled storage, automation, and more. Stord plans to lease a nearby warehouse for additional services like kit assembly and embroidery.
The current Hebron center, operated by 300 employees and contractors, saw a doubling of order processing during the recent Black Friday-Cyber Monday period. Stord, founded in 2015, serves numerous direct-to-consumer and B2B brands with $10 billion in annual gross merchandise value, delivering over 30 million packages to U.S. homes.
In 2025, Stord secured $200 million in funding, formed a partner network with e-commerce tech providers, and acquired Ware2Go from UPS. It also acquired Penny Black, a software-as-a-service startup offering hyper-personalized post-purchase inserts for enhanced brand experience and increased revenue. Personalized inserts based on consumer data are printed on-demand at pack stations.
