Strategy funded its Bitcoin purchases through stock offerings, selling 663,450 shares for $108.8 million. The latest purchase brings Strategy’s year-to-date BTC yield to 23.2%. MARA Holdings is the second-largest public Bitcoin holder, with 53,250 BTC. Corporate entities hold over 1.08 million BTC, with the majority based in the U.S.
Following Strategy’s lead, Twenty One Capital launched its Bitcoin treasury strategy, holding over 43,500 BTC. Other companies like Bullish, Bitcoin Standard Treasury, Trump Media & Technology Group, and GD Culture Group also announced Bitcoin treasury strategies in 2025. Corporate entities hold the largest share of Bitcoin, surpassing governments and private companies.
