Stripe has acquired the team from Valora, a crypto wallet firm, following the launch of its stablecoin-focused blockchain project Tempo. Valora, founded in 2021, raised $20 million in Series A funding and developed a mobile wallet supporting stablecoins across various platforms. The team will now join Stripe to work on its blockchain initiatives.

Tempo’s open testnet was recently launched, allowing for easy creation of stablecoins directly in the browser.
