VanEck is rebranding its gaming ETF as the “VanEck Degen Economy ETF,” targeting digital finance, gig platforms, and online betting. The fund will adopt a new index and investment focus on companies involved in Millennial Finance and the Gig Economy. The original gaming ETF targeted casinos, sports betting, and gaming players, now expanding to include companies in the “Degen Economy.” The VanEck Gaming ETF has only seen a 3% increase this year, falling behind the S&P 500.
