Vestas Wind Systems has secured an 828 MW order from Casa dos Ventos for the Dom Inocêncio wind complex in Brazil. The project, set to begin construction in 2026 and be completed by 2028, will feature 184 turbines and provide electricity for around 2 million homes. This investment marks a significant development in Brazil’s wind energy market, signaling a renewed momentum and supporting the country’s energy security. The project is expected to create over 8,500 direct and indirect jobs, stimulate local supply chains, and drive socio-economic growth in Piauí. Vestas Wind Systems closed trading on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange at DKK 170.75 on Tuesday.
