Viridian Metals Inc. has reported significant assay results from the first five holes of its 2025 drilling program at the Kraken Main Zone. The results show continuous, near-surface sulphide mineralization across 80 meters of strike, with further assays pending for an additional 360 meters of drilled strike. High-grade copper zones have been identified, reinforcing Kraken as a prominent magmatic sulphide system in Canada.
The initial drillholes by Viridian have shown consistent sulphide mineralization, with sulfur analyses indicating up to 66% sulphides in some intervals. This shallow and consistent mineralization style is unique among Canadian magmatic sulphide systems. The mineralized horizon extends over 5 kilometers and is supported by geophysical signatures and drilling data, marking the potential significance of the emerging Kraken discovery.
Upcoming assay results for an additional 360 meters of drilled strike at the Kraken Main Zone are pending, with 17 out of 22 holes intersecting significant visual sulphide mineralization. The company plans to release results in the coming months, providing a steady stream of news as they evaluate the broader mineralized horizon. Plans for an expanded 2026 drilling program are already underway to continue exploring the 5-kilometer anomaly and test newly identified structural splays based on 2025 results.
