Warren Buffett is stepping down as CEO of Berkshire Hathaway at the age of 95 after leading the company for 60 years. Berkshire reduced its stake in Apple and Bank of America significantly leading up to Buffett’s departure, with Apple and Bank of America representing 21.4% and 9.6% of its portfolio, respectively. Berkshire purchased Alphabet shares for the first time in the third quarter, as Alphabet achieved its first-ever $100 billion quarter. Berkshire Hathaway now owns around 17.8 million shares of Alphabet, making it one of the few tech companies in its portfolio.
