Tools for Humanity’s World platform is expanding to include encrypted messaging and financial services, offering in-app features like end-to-end encryption and third-party mini-apps. Stablecoin support has been extended to include USDC, EURC, and Latin American peso-linked tokens. The update also introduces yield products and US dollar virtual accounts in 18 countries.

Sam Altman and Alex Blania, co-founders of Tools for Humanity, released the new features in San Francisco. The World App now supports third-party mini-apps like prediction markets and games. Optional profile photo verification has been added to help prevent impersonation and misuse within the app.

Tools for Humanity is entering the super-app market in the US, following companies like X, which is working on creating an all-in-one platform. Elon Musk, who is involved in X, has mentioned plans to compete with messaging services like Telegram and WhatsApp. Other companies like Coinbase and Walmart are also moving towards super-app models.
