Willis Towers Watson (WTW) is in talks to potentially acquire Cushon, a workplace retirement schemes platform owned by NatWest Group, as reported by Sky News. The deal comes after an auction process that drew interest from various companies in the sector. While the financial terms remain undisclosed, Cushon currently manages approximately £3.7bn in assets. Sources suggest that the acquisition could value Cushon at over £150m. NatWest acquired a majority stake in Cushon in 2023, aiming to streamline operations post-taxpayer ownership. Cushon offers workplace pension and savings solutions to over 650,000 members from 21,000 employers. NatWest and WTW have not provided official comments on the ongoing negotiations.
