In recent columns, it was advised to avoid investing in quantum computing stocks Rigetti Computing (NASDAQ: RGTI) and D-Wave Quantum (NYSE: QBTS). Rigetti reported $5.2 million in revenue for the first three quarters of 2025, a 39% decrease from the previous year. D-Wave saw sales surge to less than $22 million in revenue through the same period. Despite the momentum in sales, D-Wave is not profitable and analysts do not forecast profitability until 2030. Both stocks are viewed as more hype than substance and may not be good investments.
