American Airlines announced a partnership with AT&T to offer free in-flight Wi-Fi to loyalty program members. This move reflects the growing trend among airlines to provide complimentary internet access to attract and retain customers. The rollout will begin in January and be available on most flights by early spring.

Following suit, United Airlines partnered with Elon Musk’s Starlink for in-flight internet services in 2025. American Airlines’ initiative to provide free high-speed Wi-Fi aims to meet the needs of modern travelers.
