More than 30 companies in the automotive supply chain are collaborating on open-source software to develop next-generation cars and cut costs, announced by Germany’s VDA at CES trade show. Stellantis, Traton, Schaeffler, Infineon, Qualcomm, Volkswagen, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz are among the participants aiming to reduce development efforts by 40% and speed time to market by 30%.
