Bitpanda is broadening its services to include stocks and ETFs on its platform, offering access to about 10,000 traditional financial products alongside cryptocurrencies, all within a single app. Trades in stocks and ETFs will be priced at a flat fee of 1 euro per transaction, part of Bitpanda’s effort to simplify investing across asset classes. The move comes as more crypto platforms aim for universal exchange ambitions.

Leading crypto platforms like Kraken and Coinbase are also targeting a universal exchange strategy by offering access to traditional financial products like stocks and ETFs. Kraken recently launched 11,000 US-listed stocks and ETFs with commission-free trading, while Coinbase rebranded its wallet app to enable 24/7 trading of stocks and ETFs along with crypto assets. This trend is part of an industry-wide push towards a “super app” race, according to crypto research firm Delphi Digital.
