Corn futures saw fractional to penny losses in the nearbys on Tuesday, while other contracts were slightly higher. The national average Cash Corn price was down 1 ¼ cents at $3.86. Export Inspections data indicated 1.484 MMT of corn shipped in the week ending January 15, with Mexico as the top destination. Yearly shipments are up 55.46% yr/yr.

AgRural estimates the first Brazilian corn crop at 1.6% harvested and the second corn crop at 1.1% planted. ANEC forecasts Brazilian corn exports for January at 3.45 MMT, a slight increase from the previous week. Corn prices closed at $4.23 3/4 for Mar 26, down 1 cent, and $4.31 1/4 for May 26, down 3/4 cent.
