CUPE 8125, representing over 4,700 cabin crew members at WestJet and Encore, praised the airline’s decision to reverse its controversial 28-inch-pitch seat configuration. CUPE 8125 stressed the importance of frontline experience in corporate decision-making for a successful business. Moving forward, the union is calling for meaningful engagement with flight attendants and their union before implementing decisions affecting working conditions and passenger safety.
