Tiffany & Co. has appointed David Ponzo as deputy CEO, taking over duties from former CCO Gavin Haig. Ponzo, previously at Louis Vuitton, will lead retail, corporate functions, and product divisions. He reports to CEO Anthony Ledru and joins the global executive committee. Parent company LVMH has promoted Hugues Bonnet-Masimbert to Vuitton CEO, succeeding Ponzo.
Bonnet-Masimbert will lead geographic zones, retail, digital, and client relations at Vuitton. He moves from Rimowa on March 1, reporting to Pietro Beccari. His track record in brand transformation aligns with Vuitton’s focus on operational excellence and maison spirit. Bonnet-Masimbert joined LVMH in 1996 and previously held roles at Loewe, Celine, and Berluti.
Thierry Vasseur has been promoted to EVP of jewelry, high jewelry, and home/accessories at Tiffany. He joined in 2021, enhancing creativity in the jewelry category. Vasseur will lead product marketing and report to Ponzo, who starts on Jan. 26. CEO Ledru looks forward to Ponzo’s addition and Vasseur’s expanded role in strengthening the team.
