In early trading, Merck leads the Dow Jones Industrial Average with a 0.7% gain, while Salesforce is the worst performer, down 1.1%. Year to date, Merck has gained 7.6% and Salesforce is down 0.7%.

Dow is trading down 0.8% and Procter & Gamble is up 0.5% for the day. Salesforce has underperformed year to date, down 1.1%, while Merck has gained 7.6% in the same period.
