Stablecoin transfer volume on Ethereum hit $8 trillion in Q4 2025, doubling from the previous quarter’s $4 trillion. Stablecoin issuance rose 43% in 2025 to $181 billion by year-end. Ethereum saw a record 2.23 million daily transactions in late December, up 48% from last year. Monthly active addresses reached 10.4 million.
Ethereum is the primary network for stablecoins and real-world asset tokenization, holding a 65% market share of RWA on-chain value, about $19 billion. Market dominance rises to over 70% when including layer-2 and EVM networks. Tether leads in issuance with $187 billion, mostly on Ethereum. Tron follows with a 27% stablecoin market share.
