Google is testing a new AI feature in its Gemini chatbot called Personal Intelligence, which pulls data from apps like Gmail and Google Photos for tailored responses. This feature allows Gemini to understand user context without specific instructions, offering more detailed answers by analyzing emails, videos, and photos.
This launch is part of Google’s competition with OpenAI and Apple’s Intelligence, which integrates apps for writing, image creation, and context understanding. Google will power some of Apple’s AI features, including an upcoming Siri update. Personal Intelligence will initially be for Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers in the U.S., with plans to integrate it into Google Search’s “AI Mode.”
Google advises users that Personal Intelligence is still in beta and may make errors, encouraging feedback on sensitive or complex topics.
