A global survey found India has high public trust in its tax system. Over 12,000 people across 29 countries, mostly in Asia, participated. In India, 45% believe tax revenues benefit the public, and 41% see paying taxes as community contribution. 68% oppose tax evasion, and 80% support sustainable development funding through taxes. Across Asia, tax systems are viewed as fair and transparent. Digital tax services are seen as effective, and clear communication from tax authorities builds trust. The survey will be formally launched at a global webinar next month.
