SoftBank’s investment in Emergent marks its first in an Indian startup in over three years. Emergent co-founder and CEO plans to use funding to expand research and engineering teams in San Francisco and Bengaluru. Startup aims to advance products and research into coding agents, attracting interest in software building.
Khosla Ventures founder Vinod Khosla praises Emergent for shaping the future of software creation and monetization. Startup co-founder Mukund Jha, previously with Dunzo, foresees democratization of software building as a major trend. Funding will support development of new products and technology advancements.
