L&T Onshore, a division of Larsen & Toubro, secured a contract from Petronet LNG for the Dahej Petrochemical Complex in Gujarat. The contract involves EPCC of large storage tanks for LNG, ethane, and propane. The contract value ranges between Rs25bn and Rs50bn.

The project will be executed on a lump sum turnkey basis and includes facilities for ethane and propane handling. The venture supports India’s petrochemical complex and aims to bridge the polypropylene demand-supply gap.

L&T Onshore also won a contract from BPCL for EPCC of an LLDPE/HDPE swing unit in Bina, Madhya Pradesh. The project will establish the largest unit in India, setting a new standard in polyethylene production capacity.
