Stellantis is bringing back the V-8-powered Ram 1500 SRT TRX for 2027 to boost U.S. sales. Priced around $100,000, the truck boasts a 6.2-liter supercharged “Hellcat” engine with 777 hp, making it the world’s fastest gas pickup. Ram CEO Kuniskis views the TRX as a halo model for the brand, attracting attention and potentially boosting sales.

Ram CEO Kuniskis is leading a turnaround plan for Stellantis, with more than 25 announcements planned. The 2027 Ram 1500 SRT TRX starts at $99,995, excluding a $2,595 destination fee. Additionally, a new 6.7-liter Cummins high-output turbo diesel engine was announced for the Ram Power Wagon heavy-duty truck.

Kuniskis’ revival efforts come after Stellantis’ U.S. sales fell under former CEO Tavares. Sales in 2026 are expected to be flat or declining, requiring conquesting buyers from other brands. Kuniskis is optimistic about Ram and Jeep’s growth potential, despite industry challenges.

Jeep CEO Broderdorf is implementing a reset plan for the brand, focusing on pricing, models, and features. The plan aims to streamline the product lineup, reduce overlaps, and position Jeep for growth. New models like the Cherokee SUV and all-electric Recon are expected to boost sales and profitability for Jeep in 2025.
