Stanley Kroenke, owner of the Los Angeles Rams, is now America’s largest private landowner with 2.7 million acres, surpassing Yellowstone National Park’s size. His recent purchase of nearly 1 million acres in New Mexico from the Teledyne family was the largest land transaction in over a decade. Other billionaires like Bill Gates, Thomas Peterffy, and Jeff Bezos are also investing in U.S. farmland for agriculture and forestry, with farmland values growing at an average annual rate of 5.8%.
