Saudi Arabia is set to open its financial markets to all foreign investors starting February 1, as announced by the country’s market regulator. The move eliminates the Qualified Foreign Investor concept, allowing investors worldwide direct access to the Saudi capital market. This decision aims to attract more money from abroad and improve market liquidity. The country has been working to reduce its reliance on oil and has made efforts to attract foreign investors, including opening up opportunities for investment in real estate. International investors currently hold 590 billion riyals ($157 billion) in the Saudi capital market.
