The S&P 500 was set for its second closing high of the year, with Wall Street rebounding from early nerves. The market benchmark was up 0.6%, surpassing its Jan. 6 record close. The Dow surged 200 points, or 0.4%, also on track for a record close. The Nasdaq Composite rose 0.7%.

According to Dow Jones Market Data, the Dow is headed for its strongest first six days of a year since 2003.
