The company is transitioning to a subscription-only model starting next month, impacting automotive margins. Tesla offers a $99/month subscription for FSD, with an $8,000 upfront payment option until February 14th. The move could help reach 10 million active subscriptions, part of CEO Elon Musk’s trillion-dollar pay package milestones. Tesla also announced the end of Model S and Model X production this year, along with a $2 billion investment into Musk’s AI company xAI.
