Solana led in DEX trading with $293.7 billion in Q1 2025, driven by a memecoin craze like $TRUMP tied to Donald Trump. Solana remained a top chain by DEX volume throughout the year, with monthly volumes over $100 billion.
Base ranked third in transactions in 2025, benefiting from direct distribution from Coinbase. Base’s protocol revenue grew by about 30 times, capturing 62% of total L2 revenue. Its ecosystem now includes DEXs, AI-linked apps, and prediction platforms.
Tron’s 3.22 billion transactions highlighted its role in the stablecoin economy. More than half of circulating USDt is issued on Tron’s blockchain, with stablecoin supply growing about 40% year-to-date. NEAR Protocol rounded out the top five blockchains in 2025 with 1.89 billion transactions.
