Unclaimed Ethereum tokens from The DAO hack in 2016 will be redirected to a new security fund to enhance network security, says Griff Green. The hack led to over $50 million in Ether being stolen, resulting in a hard fork of the Ethereum blockchain. The remaining funds, worth $200 million, will be used to support Ethereum security. Green aims to make Ethereum safer than a bank by focusing on security projects and distribution methods within The DAO. The security fund’s goal is to strengthen the broader ecosystem and encourage safer asset storage on Ethereum.
