VCI Global Limited has announced a strategic collaboration with Tianneng to develop up to 250MW of solar generation integrated with up to 800MWh of battery energy storage systems in Malaysia. This partnership aims to deliver clean power to support AI data centers and digital infrastructure operators in the region. Tianneng Holding Group, a global leader in energy technology, will be the primary EPC+F partner for this project with a significant industrial scale. The estimated project value is between US$200 million to US$300 million, with potential cumulative revenue of US$360 million to US$480 million over 20 years.
Tianneng Holding Group, a leading manufacturer of lead-acid batteries in China, has reported US$10.7 billion in annual revenue in 2024 and is listed on both the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the Shanghai Stock Exchange. The collaboration with VCI Energy will facilitate the deployment of advanced energy storage technologies to support Malaysia’s growing AI and digital infrastructure ecosystem. This partnership marks an important milestone in Tianneng’s international expansion strategy.
The strategic partnership with Tianneng will enable VCI Global to execute energy infrastructure projects at an institutional scale, integrating solar capacity with battery storage to provide clean power tailored for AI data centers and hyperscalers.
