HaysMac, a London-based accounting and tax advisory firm, has acquired a specialized US tax team from Moore DM. This team, including director Chris Baker, focuses on US tax compliance for US nationals and high-net-worth individuals in the UK. The acquisition will allow HaysMac to offer US tax services alongside its UK tax work.
The move aligns with HaysMac’s goal to expand globally, deepen its presence in private wealth markets, and support clients with cross-border assets. Head of private clients, Graeme Privett, stated that the addition of Chris and his team will enhance their ability to serve international private wealth clients with US tax needs.
HaysMac’s acquisition of Moore DM’s US tax unit is part of their strategic plan to develop a more comprehensive global practice. The addition of Chris Baker and his team will help strengthen their US tax offering and support the global aspirations of their private clients. This move follows the recent rehiring of Andrew Roberts as audit director in their Social Purpose team.
