ARK Invest, led by Cathie Wood, sold $22 million worth of Coinbase shares across multiple ETFs while increasing its stake in Bullish. Coinbase stock rose by 13% on Friday but remains down 26% year-to-date. ARK also added shares of Alphabet, Recursion Pharmaceuticals, and Tempus AI while reducing exposure to other tech companies.
In addition to the Coinbase and Bullish moves, ARK Invest experienced a downturn in its ETFs due to a fourth-quarter slump in digital asset markets. Coinbase shares fell sharply, underperforming Bitcoin and Ether, as trading volumes dropped 9% quarter-on-quarter after an October liquidation event. ARK’s flagship funds, including ARKK, ARKW, and ARKF, were impacted by the weakness in digital asset-related companies.
