PT Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama (BUMA) has secured a long-term contract with PT Adaro Indonesia for operations at the South Tutupan Mine in Indonesia, starting on April 1, 2026, until December 31, 2030. The contract involves removing 239 million bank cubic meters of overburden and extracting 44 million tonnes of coal annually.

This agreement strengthens the partnership between BUMA and Adaro Indonesia, providing revenue stability and long-term earnings for BUMA. President director Ronald Sutardja highlighted the significant contract as a testament to BUMA’s operational excellence and ability to manage complex mining operations safely and reliably.

BUMA International Group, established in 1990, operates in Indonesia, Australia, and the US, focusing on mining services, mine ownership, social enterprise, and technology. In 2024, the group expanded into mine ownership by acquiring Atlantic Carbon Group and ventured into future-facing commodities by acquiring a stake in Australian company 29Metals.

Established in 1998, BUMA provides mining services to coal producers in Indonesia. The recent contract with Adaro at the South Tutupan mine further solidifies BUMA’s position as a trusted mining services partner in the region.
