Chinese tech giant Baidu is integrating its popular AI tool OpenClaw into its main smartphone app, allowing users to automate tasks like scheduling and writing code. Previously only accessible through chat apps, OpenClaw will now be available on Baidu’s search app, with plans to expand to e-commerce services.

Alibaba has also integrated its AI chatbot Qwen into its e-commerce platforms, enabling users to compare personalized product recommendations and complete transactions within the chatbot. The company reported over 120 million consumer orders through the app in a six-day period, highlighting the growing interest in AI-powered tools in the e-commerce sector.

Despite the increasing popularity of AI agents like OpenClaw, cybersecurity firms have raised concerns about potential security risks associated with granting these tools access to enterprise systems. Firms like CrowdStrike have warned about the risks of allowing AI agents unfettered access to sensitive information, urging caution in implementing these technologies.
