Bitcoin, known as “digital gold,” faces instability due to geopolitical tension and tariff-induced volatility, pushing prices toward $70,000 support. Analysts predict further downside if this level is breached, with speculation on the impact of a more hawkish U.S. Federal Reserve under potential new leadership.

Despite recent setbacks, Bitcoin bulls like Michael Saylor of Strategy (MSTR) remain optimistic, seeing the current dip as a precursor to a strong rally. Strategy continues to acquire Bitcoin, holding 713,502 Bitcoins as of February 5, with a treasury model tied to its Bitcoin holdings’ premium valuation.

Strategy, previously MicroStrategy, is the world’s largest Bitcoin treasury firm, with a market capitalization of $37.1 billion. The company offers Bitcoin exposure to investors through various securities while emphasizing analytics technology, pivoting from enterprise analytics software to focus on Bitcoin as its primary treasury reserve asset.

As Bitcoin experiences a pullback, Strategy’s stock has sharply declined, down 67.03% over the past year and 26.94% year-to-date. The company’s price-to-earnings ratio of 4.72x is below the industry average of 29.05x, with third-quarter revenue surpassing analyst expectations at $128.69 million, up 10.9% year-over-year.

In the third quarter of 2025, Strategy reported an operating income of $3.89 billion and EPS of $8.42, driven by its Bitcoin holdings and digital credit market leverage. However, analysts project significant losses per share for the fourth quarter and fiscal year 2025, though a decrease is expected in fiscal 2026.

Analysts have lowered price targets for Strategy due to Bitcoin’s evolving characteristics, with a consensus “Strong Buy” rating. Despite concerns about the company’s bottom line trajectory, analysts predict substantial upside potential, with a consensus price target of $464.36 and a street-high target of $705, indicating significant growth potential for the stock.
