JPMorgan Chase confirmed the termination of Donald Trump’s bank accounts and those of his associated businesses after the Capitol attack. Trump is suing for $5bn, alleging political motivations. The PGA and legal firms distanced themselves, and JPMorgan cited the relationship no longer serving the client’s interests. Trump’s lawyers claim JPMorgan blacklisted him.
Trump’s legal battle with JPMorgan over closed accounts has moved from Florida to New York. Trump’s lawyers claim financial harm from JPMorgan’s actions and vow to see the case through to a just conclusion. This is part of a series of cases brought by Trump against major banks alleging unfair treatment. The Trump Organisation has an ongoing lawsuit against Capital One over similar claims.
