Kalmar has secured a major order for 30 hybrid straddle carriers from Maher Terminals to support safe, sustainable operations at their marine container terminal in New Jersey, USA. This order was booked in Q4 2025 with delivery scheduled for Q4 2026. Maher Terminals is one of the largest privately held container terminal operators in the world and recently signed a lease extension to support growing trade. The new straddle carriers will be equipped with Kalmar’s Collision Warning System to improve safety and efficiency. Maher Terminals plans to retrofit its entire fleet with this technology in the coming years.
