ORIX Corp Ads reported a net income of JPY 389.7 billion for the nine months ended December 31, 2025, up JPY 117.9 billion from the previous year. Operating officer Kazuki Yamamoto stated this marked the company’s highest-ever third-quarter cumulative net profit, representing 89% of its full-year forecast of JPY 440 billion.

The company expanded its share buyback program to JPY 150 billion and had repurchased JPY 128.1 billion by end-January. They aim for a full-year payout ratio of 39% (approximately JPY 153 per share) and plan to steadily progress towards completing the buyback program.

Profit across ORIX’s three categories, finance, operation, and investments, increased with substantial gains in the investments category. The investment segment profit doubled to JPY 261.4 billion, attributing to various sales and property disposals, including Greenko and Ormat.

Finance segment profit rose 8% to JPY 145.5 billion, operation segment profit increased by 17% to JPY 189.5 billion, and the investment segment profit doubled to JPY 261.4 billion. The company also highlighted growth in the corporate financial services, real estate, PE investment, and concession segments.

ORIX reported JPY 196.6 billion in capital gains from divestments and new investments during the nine-month period. Total assets increased by JPY 1.2594 trillion, largely due to the consolidation of Hilco Global. Shareholders’ equity rose by JPY 495.2 billion, with a shareholders’ equity ratio of 25.3%.

Management discussed updates to the employed capital ratio model, noting risk ratios are now defined at more precise business and unit levels. They highlighted inbound trends, including declines in Chinese passenger numbers and the impact on earnings. ORIX maintained its full-year net income forecast at JPY 440 billion.
