SPAR International has extended its partnership with SOLUM, a South Korean retail technology provider, to supply electronic shelf labels (ESL) and digital signage to SPAR-licensed organizations worldwide, supporting retail technology adoption. SOLUM will continue providing ESL, e-paper displays, and digital signage under the renewed agreement, adapting to different store layouts.

SOLUM, founded in 2015, will provide its Newton Core+ and 32in Newton e-Paper series to SPAR organizations, along with digital signage formats such as bar-type displays, dual-type displays, and standard displays. These systems can be tailored to various store layouts and operational needs, enhancing digital capabilities.

In addition to displaying pricing and in-store information, ESL and digital signage platforms by SOLUM can serve as digital communication channels connected to retail media initiatives. SPAR International’s selection of SOLUM as a Preferred Supplier reflects trust in SOLUM’s ability to provide reliable ESL and digital signage solutions across diverse retail environments.

SPAR International has entered a partnership with Veesion to offer AI-based loss-prevention technology to SPAR-licensed operators globally. Retailers can deploy Veesion’s video detection system to help reduce theft-related losses in stores, enhancing security measures. SOLUM and Finnish retail company EWQ have expanded their partnership to accelerate in-store digital communication systems, linking ScanToPair software with SOLUM’s hardware.
