Gofo, a parcel delivery startup, has acquired Cirro E-commerce, expanding its reach in the last-mile delivery market by integrating Cirro’s expertise in international small-parcel logistics services in the U.S., Europe, and Oceania.
The acquisition includes two key appointments at Gofo, with Ron Jansen from YunExpress named as the Chief Commercial Officer, U.S., to strengthen commercial strategy and sales execution.
Gofo executives believe that integrating Cirro’s U.S. market expertise with Gofo’s delivery network will enhance service consistency for e-commerce merchants in the U.S., particularly in domestic and cross-border parcel logistics.
Leon Li, CEO of Gofo U.S., stated that the partnership with Cirro will provide a more seamless experience for U.S. shippers, combining Cirro’s local market expertise with Gofo’s network scale and automation.
Gofo plans to retain Cirro E-commerce’s executive team, with Vincent D’Amata appointed as Chief Sales Officer, U.S., as part of the acquisition deal with terms undisclosed.
Cirro recently added Gofo to its list of last-mile carriers available to retailers through its shipping platform, further expanding the reach of both companies in the logistics and e-commerce market.
Gofo made the acquisition announcement during the Manifest supply chain conference in Las Vegas, showcasing its commitment to providing efficient delivery services to customers and shippers.
Founded in 2023 by Chuan Zheng, Gofo has rapidly expanded its logistics foundation across the U.S., boasting nearly 100 hubs and stations supported by over 30 linehaul routes.
During the peak season, Gofo processed over 60 million parcels with a sortation capacity of 3 million parcels per day and achieved a 99% delivery success rate, demonstrating operational stability despite increased volume.
To ensure smooth operations, Gofo increased its app-based independent driver workforce by 30% year over year, operating 1,500 self-owned and partner-operated vehicles to maintain high service levels and on-time deliveries.
As retailers seek lower rates, many are turning to independent providers like Gofo, raising questions about the sustainability of smaller carriers investing in regional and national networks.
