Boston-based startup EnFi is raising $15 million in venture capital funds to deploy artificial intelligence agents for credit applications. The round is led by Fintop, Patriot Financial Partners, and others, raising total financing to $22.5 million. CEO Joshua Summers says AI agents help smaller banks compete by increasing lending volume and efficiency. Each bank customizes agents to their specific needs, streamlining processes like credit document screening. The use of AI also simplifies checking applicants’ leverage, collateral, and credit history.
