Tether has released an open-source Bitcoin mining software called MiningOS to simplify and scale mining, promoting decentralization. The software is modular, scalable, and transparent, allowing miners to adjust settings easily. CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that MiningOS is suitable for home setups to industrial-grade sites. Tether aims to empower new miners to compete without relying on expensive vendors. The software is open-source under the Apache 2.0 License and built on Holepunch P2P protocols for security. Tether’s move beyond stablecoins includes investments in tokenization, AI, DeFi, gold, and Bitcoin.
