In a separate incident, wrench attacks targeting cryptocurrency investors rose by 75% in 2025, with 72 verified cases worldwide. These attacks resulted in at least $40.9 million in confirmed losses, with France recording the highest number of attacks last year. Europe accounted for about 40% of all attacks globally in 2025.
